An independent site run by a local company. Not an official service of the City of Vaasa.
Who runs the site and why
The site is run by Platonic Partnership Oy (business ID 2822582-6), a company in Vaasa. The data center projects in the GigaVaasa area are bringing thousands of construction workers to the region, and the people arranging their housing and services search online in English. Local companies are hard to find that way.
This site lists the region’s companies that want to be contacted, with practical guides for people arriving here. It can be handed over to a regional organisation once the need is proven.
Not an official service
The site is not an official service of the City of Vaasa, VASEK, Merinova or any other organisation, and it does not speak for the construction projects. The official services are linked from the home page.
What the site does not do
- It does not rank or recommend companies. Lists are alphabetical.
- It does not check the quality or prices of any provider. Before publishing we check only that the company exists in the business register and that its contact details work.
- It does not book and takes no commission. Accommodation requests are forwarded to providers, who reply directly.
- It does not report on the construction projects.
If Platonic Partnership Oy itself is listed, the card says so.

Privacy notice

What is collected. The site sets no cookies and uses no tracking. Personal data is collected only through the two forms:
- The listing form: company name, business ID, description, category, languages, municipality, public contact details and, if given, the name of a contact person. Collected to publish the listing.
- The accommodation request form: company, name and role, email, phone and the request itself. Collected to forward the request.
Forwarding. A request is forwarded with your contact details to matching accommodation providers, so that they can reply directly. The form asks for your consent.
Publication and transfer. Listing data is published on this site in all of its languages and stored in the site’s source code repository, which is not public. If the site is handed over to a new owner, the listing data goes with it. The listing form asks for your consent. Descriptions are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
Who processes the data. Form submissions are delivered by Formspree (United States) and stored in the owner’s mailbox at Zoho Mail, whose data stays in the EU. The site is hosted by Cloudflare (United States), which also serves it from data centres in Europe and sees visitors’ IP addresses and requested pages in its logs. Listing data and the source code are stored in a private repository at GitHub (United States). The site uses no analytics.
How long. Accommodation requests are deleted after twelve months. Listing data is kept until the listing is removed. Removed entries remain in the repository’s version history, which is not public but goes with the site at a handover; this is why the site prefers role addresses to personal names.
Your rights. You can ask what data the site holds about you, have it corrected or removed, and withdraw your consent: hello@vaasasuppliers.com. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman.
